When you’ve got so much great stuff for kids right in your backyard (as we do here in DC), it’s easy to forget that Baltimore, just 45 minutes away, has tons for families to enjoy as well. Sometime soon, I’ll do a “Field Trip” post on Charm City and all it has to offer kids, but for now I’ll just inform about a great deal about to happen.
This Friday, July 16, is Target Arts & Wonder Free Family day at Port Discovery, the children’s museum full of cool interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, including a Bob the Builder visiting exhibit. From 10am – 7pm, all guests can enter free of charge. Admission is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Note: this means they cannot exceed 2,500 guests at once, so space will open as visitors leave). Tickets are regularly $12.95, so if you’re going with a group, it could be a big savings. Tickets cannot be reserved in advance; all guests must check in at the box office to receive a wristband to enter.
Visit the Port Discovery website to learn more about its exhibits and programs.
