DPR Kids Retreat this Friday

The first DCPS Professional Development Day of the school year is this Friday, September 17. If you’re still looking for childcare options, here’s something to consider: The DC Department of Parks and Recreation will offer DPR Kids Retreat, a full day of programs for students in grades Pre-K – 8 throughout the District.

DPR Kids Retreats are offered at one location in each of the city’s eight wards, beginning at 8:30am and continuing until 5 pm. The program is designed to engage students with a day of arts & crafts, fitness, and enrichment activities outside of the classroom.

To register your child for a Kids Retreat, complete an enrollment form available online here (select your preferred location).  Completed forms must be delivered to the DPR site where you wish to have your child enrolled.  Same day enrollment available only if space permits.

DPR Kids Retreats coincide with all of DCPS’ Professional Development Days and will be offered throughout the school year.
