Monday - Visit the animals, roam the peaceful grounds, and possibly join in a children’s program at Oxon Hill Farm. Hours are 8am – 4:30m, and admission is free.
Tuesday - Check out the brand new Play Work Build exhibit at the National Building Museum. Guests of all ages can view the museum’s world-class Architectural Toy Collection, enjoy the hands-on fun including an area full of foam block building toys and a digital interactive. Admission is $8/adults, $5/youth, students & seniors, free for members. The museum is open 10am – 5pm.
Wednesday - See a performance of Seussical at Imagination Stage. Showtimes are 1:30pm & 4pm. Tickets are $15-22.
Thursday - Not everything is closed on Thanksgiving. Season’s Greenings, the U.S. Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display opens on Turkey Day, and it’s a great time to go because when many folks are out of town or at home feasting.
Friday - With Thanksgiving over, start getting into the holiday spirit at Christmas on the Potomac at the National Harbor’s Gaylord National Resort. The first floor of the hotel is transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a spectacular glass Christmas tree, nightly tree lightings, the Potomac Express train offering rides for guests, photo ops with Santa, indoor snowfalls, fountain shows, and more.
