Hello world!

Our inaugural post shares info garnered from a trip to the National Building Museum just yesterday afternoon:  The NBM has begun its Book of the Month! program.  On the first Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am and 11:30 am, kids can enjoy readings in The Building Zone’s Book Nook.  Books will explore building-related themes such as city planning, patterns, and construction.  The program is free and recommended for children ages 3-5.

The National Building Museum is located at 401 F Street NW and is easily accessible via Metro’s Red Line — the Judiciary Square station is just across the street.  If you drive, arm yourself with plenty of change for the parking meter and don’t be surprised if it takes a couple of laps around the block to find a spot.
