If the White House didn’t come through on your Easter Egg Roll tickets, don’t resort to crashing. There are other ways to celebrate the spring holiday, and without waiting another week. Butler’s Orchard in Germantown, MD, is about to re-open for its 15th Annual Bunnyland. Beginning this Saturday, March 27, the farm will yield bunnies, eggs, and other Easter-related treats for a two-week festival that will have kids hopping for joy.
Attractions will include hayrides down the Bunny Trail, egg hunts, the Rubber Ducky Derby, giant slides, and pony rides. Kids can also enjoy face painting and crafts, as well as a small petting zoo with bunnies, lambs, and chicks.
Food vendors will offer hotdogs, veggie pitas, soup, popcorn, and more. There are also plenty of pinic tables if you prefer to pack a lunch. The Farm Market will be open, too, selling preserves, honey, home-baked fruit pies, and other local goods.
Bunnyland will be open from 9am – 3pm on March 27 & 28 and April 1, 2, 3, 5, & 10. Cost is $8/child, $6/adult.
